During my road trip through the South West of England at the beginning of 2024 Somerset was one of the unexpected jewels. The area around Glastonbury was full of photography opportunities, especially early evening and morning, for skies and for wildlife.
I don’t think I have ever seen so many Owls or Hares and really enjoyed watching them in their natural habitat.
Both creatures are favourites of mine, so the opportunity to see them for more than fleeting glances was a real privilege and persuaded me to paint them.
Both paintings are mixed media, using ink, watercolour and pens.
The paintings are double mounted and framed in black block frame.
