During my road trip at the beginning of 2024 Stonehenge was one of the places I visited with my friend, as she is not English and hadn’t seen the site before. As luck would have it the weather was fabulous and the road (A30) very quiet in January, so we were able to drive past slowly and take some great photos.

I possibly may not have painted the image if I had just left it as a colour photo but having desaturated it to black and white it took on a more interesting appearance to me and I decided to make a painting using ink and watercolour to show the texture of the stone.

As above so below
Ink and watercolour on paper
22.5 inches x 17.5 inches in double mount and black frame
Original £220
A3 mounted giclee print £80
