The north sea and other large bodies of water intimidate and scare me but I still feel drawn to them at times. Witnessing a point in time when the sky and sea appear to be one body has been something I have chased for many years as a photographer. Sods law when I actually witnessed it one evening in February, while staying Lindisfarne in Northumberland, I didn’t have a camera. So, I had to paint it instead.
