Still following my fascination with birds and looking at them in different ways and forms. I am finding watercolours challenging but exciting. I usually work quick and loose when using other mediums but watercolour demands precision and stillness….. Well it does from me. This barn owl is approx A4 in size, larger than I have been painting the other birds. It’s still on the he easel as I am waiting to see if it’s finished.
The second painting is an abstract I started yesterday. Without consciously thinking when I applied them, I can see the black marks are birds in flight. I can also see a red duck and a feather. Whether they are still visible when it’s finished remains to be seen, who knows what the next layer will reveal or hide. If you can see other things in the early stages pop them in the comments, this could be quite amusing.
